DNB CET 2020 – National Board of Examination (NBE) will grant admission to Diplomate of National Board – DNB CET post MBBS courses. NBE has announced NEET PG result 2020 on January 30, in PDF format. Based on the scores obtained in NEET PG exam, the admission to 1338 DNB CET 2020 seats will be granted. DNB CET merit list 2020 will be prepared by NBE considering the ranks secured in NEET PG exam held on January 5. NBE will soon release the DNBE CET 2020 counselling process in the first week of March, after the release of NEET PG merit list. For admission to 649 DNB CET hospitals, candidates are required to secure the NEET PG minimum qualifying percentile as specified for respective categories. DNB CET 2020 counselling will be conducted in online mode in three rounds.

DNB CET counselling 2020 procedure – Round one
Candidates who successfully register themselves for DNB CET 2020 counselling will be allowed to participate in the same. The procedure for round one is given in the points below:
Each candidate will be allowed to opt for as many choices as many they want. However, they must note that selecting a college, during the counselling of DNB CET, which they do not wish to join will lead them into trouble as aforementioned
Aspirants will be allowed to select their special category also. However, they will also have to upload certificates proving the same
The certificates thus uploaded will then be verified by NBE as well as the authorities concerned at the allotted institute
Aspirants who do not lock their selected choices for DNB CET counselling 2020 will have their options frozen and automatically locked after the last date.
Those candidates who do not pay the registration fee within stipulated time will not be allowed to participate in DNB CET 2020 counselling process
Candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of their preferences and their merit position. The allocation process in the counselling of DNB CET will be done first for the unreserved seats and then the reserved seats. Candidates can look below for the order of allocation.
1. Unreserved seats
2. In case UR seats are not available, SC/ST/OBC/PWD seats will be allotted to eligible candidates
3. If the above mentioned seats are not available then Special category seats (OBC-A/OBC-B/MBS/BCA/SEBC,etc.) will be allotted to eligible candidates
A mock allotment of DNB CET counselling 2020 was held, following which registered candidates will be allowed to re-arrange/re-shuffle their choices. The authorities will not allow fresh registrations at this time
Once a seat gets allotted, other candidates who opted for the same will have that option automatically disabled
Candidates who accept the allotted seat at the time of DNB CET 2020 counselling will have to pay one-year course fee, i.e., 80,000 through the online counseling portal of NBE. Such candidates will also have to select Certificate and Biometric Verification Centre at the time of online payment of course fee
Aspirants who are allotted a seat will be allowed to participate for upgradation in the second round of counselling of DNB CET and those who were not allotted any seats will also be eligible for the second round
The authorities will display the indicative seat matrix for upgradation on the official website
DNB CET counselling 2020 procedure – Round two
NBE will avail the facility of choice filling for already registered candidates to select their preferred institute, which includes freezing of previously entered and available options and adding new ones. New candidates will not be allowed to register afresh for DNB CET 2020 counselling
Candidates will have to mandatorily remove their earlier allotted seat choice during the second round. Failing to do this candidates will have to accept the newly allotted institute at the time of counselling of DNB CET. Under any circumstances, the authorities will not allow candidates to take admission on the seat allotted in first round if they participate in the second round of DNB CET counselling 2020
Candidates opting for upgraded seat will have their earlier allotted seat given to candidate with a lower rank than the former
After having a seat allotted to them at the time of counselling of DNB CET, candidates will be required to pay one-year course fee and report for Biometric and Document Verification at the allotted centre. Candidates who pay the fee but do not report to the allotted centre will have their candidature cancelled
DNB CET counselling 2020 procedure – Round three
All the processes for the third round of counselling of DNB CET will be same as above. After getting seats allotted to them and Biometric and Document Verification done, candidates will have to download their allotment letter. This will be available to them on the online portal of DNB CET counseling 2020. Such candidates will have to report to the allotted college with the allotment letter and original documents for verification. The authorities at the allotted institute will verify the documents and eligibility of candidates as per the guidelines set by NBE.

The counselling fee is ₹2500, payable at the time of registration for online DNB CET 2020 counselling. The authorities will not be processing any sort of refund of the same under any circumstances

DNB CET 2020 admission through NEET PG scores
As mentioned above, candidates must note that the admission to DNB CET 2020 hospitals will be granted depending upon the scores obtained in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) exam. However, the counselling for DNB CET 2020 courses will be organised by NBE. Since, NEET PG exam will be held on January 5, 2020, for admission to DNB Post-MBBS courses, below are the event-wise information for DNB CET admission related to eligibility, application form, exam centres, admit card, syllabus, result, cutoff and counselling.
DNB CET Eligibility Criteria 2020
It is crucial for candidates to fulfill the eligibility conditions of DNB CET 2020 to know whether they can apply for the test. Some of the basic DNB CET 2020 eligibility criteria is mentioned below.
- Candidates must have completed MBBS degree/provisional pass certificate as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
- Such aspirants should have appeared and passed NEET PG 2020 exam by securing the prescribed cutoff percentile.
- They must possess the permanent/provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC).
- It is important to complete 12 months of rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2020.
- Any request of applicants for admission to DNB CET 2020 January session for completion of internship after March 31 will not be accepted.
- Aspirants who are already pursuing the DNB courses will not be allowed to appear for post MBBS. Any of an applicant who have joined DNB Broad Specialty courses in or after January 2017 will not be allowed to appear for counselling process.
DNB CET Application Form 2020
Candidates applying for DNB CET must fill the NEET PG application form 2020 which has been released on November 1, 2019. Only the eligible aspirants can apply for DNB CET online registrations 2020 till November 21, 2019. The mode and release of NEET PG application form is online only.

DNB CET Counselling 2020
Aspirants qualifying the entrance test of NEET PG will be called for DNB CET counselling 2020. NBE will conduct the separate DNB CET 2020 counselling based on the scores obtained in NEET PG. The eligible candidates will be required to register themselves for counselling of DNB CET 2020 in online mode by paying the counselling registration fees of Rs. 2500.
Along with that, candidates also have to provide their preferences of institutes/hospitals as well as broad specialty in which they wish to get admission into. It is mandatory for candidates to complete DNB CET counselling registration carefully. The procedure for DNB CET seat allotment 2020 is mentioned below.
- While registering, candidates must confirm their by uploading the relevant documents. Meanwhile, aspirants whose will not upload their documents to claim for SC/ST/OBC reservation will be considered for admission to Unreserved/general category.
- After selection of every college and course during DNB CET 2020 counselling registration, candidates must lock the options. Without locking of choices, the filled in options will be automatically saved and allotment will be done on the same basis.
- DNB CET allotment 2020 will be done on the basis of NEET PG merit, preferences of hospitals/institutes, seats availability of in particular specialty, reservation policy and other factors.
- The higher option or choice after the allotted seat will be selected for next allotment.
- Once an aspirant will be allotted a seat, he/she needs to accept it by logging in. Also the payment of Rs. 80,000 should be done in online mode as one-year course fees through NBE online counselling portal.
- After the payment, they have to select the certificate and biometric verification at the centre.
- The allotted candidates who have accepted the seat can participate for second round of DNB CET counselling 2020 to upgrade their seats.
- Also, registered aspirants who have not been allotted seats can also appear for second or third rounds for DNB CET 2020 counselling.
- A final round of DNB CET counselling will be conducted in offline mode at NBE, PSP area, Sector-9, Dwarka as per the schedule specified. Candidates will be required to make their arrangement to reach the centre.
