MCC 2 lakh Refund ,How to Get Refund of Security Money Deposited During Counselling

For NEET Counselling Students need to pay Security Deposites to get eligible for Counselling once the counselling gets over , The counselling authority refund the security deposites in bank account after 1-2 months .

MCC 2 lakh Refund of Security Deposites Paid for NEET Counselling:

NEET UG Students : Students who are applying for Government Quota seat Need to pay 10K as security deposites thats get refund once the counselling will get over .

Registration =1000 (UR) , Registration =500(all others) This Registration fees is not Refundble
UR= 10000 refundable ,All others category = 5000 Refundable


NEET UG Students : Students who are applying for deemed university also they need to pay 2 lakh security deposites and 5000 as registration charges
Registration =5000(UR) , Registration = 5000(all others) Non Refundable
Security fee** UR= 2.0 Lakhs ,All others cast = 2.0 Lakhs Refundable


NEET PG Counselling Fee Refund :

NEET PG Students : Students who are applying for Government Quota seat Need to pay 25K as security deposites thats get refund once the counselling will get over .

Registration =1000 (UR) , Registration =500(all others) This Registration fees is not Refundble
UR= 25000 refundable ,All others category = 25000 Refundable


NEET PG Students : Students who are applying for deemed university also they need to pay 2 lakh security deposites and 5000 as registration charges
Registration =5000(UR) , Registration = 5000(all others) Non Refundable
Security fee** UR= 2.0 Lakhs ,All others cast = 2.0 Lakhs Refundable

MCC 2 lakh Refund Rules :

If seat is alloted in round 1, and u r accepting the seat than 2.0 lakhs you will get refund. If not joining the seat than also you will get refund called as free exit. No loss of Money
If seat is not alloted than , ur 2.0 lakhs refund or move to next round need not to pay again.


  • If seat is alloted in round 2 and u r accepting the seat than 2.0 lakh refund
  • If seat is alloted and not accepted the seat than u will loose your 2.0 lakhs
  • If not alloted refund 2.0 lakhs or move to next round
  • If u will get seat in round 1 of deemed counselling and and u continued to round 2 but not getting seat in round 2 and mop up than also u can withdraw your seat and take refund within 2 days of results.
  • All India + Deemed Counselling Total need to pay is 2.05 Lakhs who are Registered for both
  • now students can upgrade the seat till 3rd round of counselling.
  • 3rd round of counselling or MOP up round . If you will get seat and not joining than loss of 2 lakh .if not getting seat than refund

NEET Security Deposites Refund Summary :

Types of Fees:

  1. For Deemed Universities:
    • Non-Refundable Registration Fee: Rs. 5000 (same for all candidates)
    • Refundable Security Amount: Rs. 2,00,000
  2. For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMC& ESI/ All AIIMS/ JIPMER/B.Sc. Nursing:
    • Non-Refundable Registration Fee: Rs. 1000 for UR/EWS candidates & Rs. 500 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
    • Refundable Security Amount: Rs. 10,000 for UR/EWS candidates & Rs. 5,000 for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates.
    • Example: UR candidate opting for Central Universities/AFMC/ESI pays Rs. 11,000 (Rs. 1000 + Rs. 10,000) at the time of registration, while SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates pay Rs. 5,500 (Rs. 500 + Rs. 5,000).
  3. Note : Same is applicable for NEET PG also , Only 10k replaced by 25k deposites for government colleges & DNB hospital etc

Paying for Both Govt. and Deemed University:

  • Candidates applying for both Govt. Medical/Dental/Nursing and Deemed University need to pay only the higher fee. For instance, paying the fee for Deemed University (Rs. 5000 + Rs. 2,00,000) suffices.

Understanding “Exit with Forfeiture” in Counseling:

  • “Exit with forfeiture” allows a candidate who is allotted a seat in the 2nd round or subsequent rounds of counseling but chooses not to join the allotted seat to exit, losing the deposited security amount. Once a candidate joins the allotted seat after Round 3, resigning or surrendering the joined seat is not allowed.

Refund Process:

  1. When and Where is the Security Deposit Refunded?
    • The security amount is refunded only after the completion of all counseling rounds.
    • MCC will notify the completion of counseling on their portal (www.mcc.nic.in).
    • The Financial Custodian initiates the refund within 15 days of notification, completing it within 30 days.
  2. Refund to the Same Account:
    • The security amount is refunded to the same account from which it was initially deposited by the candidate.
    • Whether deposited through a card or bank account, the refund is directed back to the respective source.

  • Haryna 2 lakh deposites refund
  • Rajasthan 2 lakh deposites refund
  • Bihar 2 lakh security deposites refund
  • same as MCC state also refund the amount once the counselling gets over.
